According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 0.8 square miles (2.0 km²), all of it land.
As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 1,153 people, 415 households, and 320 families residing in the town. The population density was 1,454.8 people per square mile (563.5/km²). There were 456 housing units at an average density of 575.4 per square mile (222.9/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 98.01% White, 0.09% African American, 0.26% Native American, 0.09% Pacific Islander, 0.35% from other races, and 1.21% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.17% of the population.
There were 415 households out of which 43.6% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 64.6% were married couples living together, 9.9% had a female householder with no husband present, and 22.7% were non-families. 20.7% of all households were made up of individuals and 5.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.78 and the average family size was 3.21.
In the town the population was spread out with 32.3% under the age of 18, 9.0% from 18 to 24, 29.3% from 25 to 44, 22.5% from 45 to 64, and 6.9% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 33 years. For every 100 females there were 105.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 99.2 males.

The district operates four campuses - Mountain View Elementary School (grades K-2), Fort Bridger Elementary School (grades 3-4), Mountain View Middle School (grades 5-8), and Mountain View High School (grades 9-12).
